Lace Paper Spider Costume

“Imagine a multidimensional spider's web in the early morning covered with dew drops. And every dew drop contains the reflection of all the other dew drops. And, in each reflected dew drop, the reflections of all the other dew drops in that reflection. And so ad infinitum. That is the Buddhist conception of the universe in an image.” ~ Alan Wilson Watts

Cut paper spider costume turns the wearer into a roving spider shadow, able to climb across walls and ceilings with the tilt of a light. Roving performance piece.

Shadow Sail Theater ~ Interactive Installation

Shadow Sail Theater captures the shimmering nuances of shadow art by combining plasma cut metal with intricate paper cuts, analog light projections, and live silhouettes in an intimate interactive spatial environment.

Participate in creating large scale works of shadow art by layering materials such as lace, glass, coloured films, and handmade paper lace costumes, to animate them with movement and light.
